KYC verification — rejections, wrong country, and unsupported regions

KYC on Solid is handled by Rain. Rejections cannot be overridden and retrying with a new account won't work. Here's what to do.

When is KYC required?

KYC (identity verification) is required to order and activate the Solid Card. Crypto deposits and basic app use do not require KYC.

My verification was rejected — what now?

KYC verification on Solid is handled by Rain, our card program partner. Rejection decisions are made by Rain, not by Solid directly. This means we are not able to override or reverse a rejection on your behalf.

Common reasons for rejection include:

  • Document not accepted (expired, low quality, or unsupported type)

  • Selfie did not match the ID document

  • Country of residence not supported for the card program

  • Information mismatch

Opening a new Solid account and trying again will not work. The rejection is linked to your identity data, not your account. A new account with the same documents will produce the same result.

If you believe the rejection was an error, contact support via the in-app chat with a description of the issue and any relevant details. We can raise it with Rain on your behalf, but cannot guarantee a reversal.

I selected the wrong country of residence

If you accidentally selected the wrong country during KYC setup and have not yet submitted verification, close the flow and restart it from the Card tab. You will be able to select the correct country.

If you have already submitted with the wrong country, contact support before resubmitting. Submitting again with different information may flag your account.

My country is not supported

The Solid Card is available in 49 countries. If your country does not appear in the KYC country selection, it is not currently supported for card issuance.

Countries not supported for the card can still use Solid for savings and yield — only the card feature requires KYC and is country-restricted.

See the full list of supported countries: Where the Solid Card is available.
