This is the step-by-step guide to funding your Solid Card in your local currency through Cash deposit, powered by TransFi. You pay from your bank or mobile money wallet in your currency and receive USDC in your card balance. For the list of supported countries and payment methods, see Deposit your local currency into Solid.
Step by step
1. Pick your currency
Open the Solid app and tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen.
The Fund your card sheet opens. Scroll to the Cash deposit section, below Stablecoins.
Select your currency. Each option shows the country flag, the currency code (BRL, BDT, PHP, MXN and so on) and the payment methods available for it. Tap Show more to see the full list.
2. Set up your order on the Buy crypto screen
Under You buy, enter the amount of USDC you want to receive. It will be delivered to your card balance.
Check the currency shown under Pay in.
Tap Pay with and choose one of the payment methods available for your currency (for example Pix, bKash, GCash, SPEI, SEPA or M-Pesa).
Wait a moment while TransFi generates your quote, then review it: the exchange rate, TransFi fees, the total you pay in your currency, and the minimum and maximum limits for this currency and payment method. You cannot continue if the amount is outside the displayed range.
Tap Continue to payment.
3. Confirm and pay
On the Confirm Order page, check the payment method and the total amount due.
Read and accept TransFi's Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, then continue.
If it is your first time, complete TransFi's identity verification. This is separate from your Solid Card KYC. Have a government-issued ID ready.
You are redirected to the payment provider's checkout page. Enter the account or mobile number linked to your selected payment method and confirm it.
Follow the payment instructions shown on screen. Send the exact amount to the exact account or number displayed.
Once you have paid, tap I have made the payment (or the equivalent button shown by your provider). Do not tap it before the payment is actually done.
4. Wait for delivery
TransFi confirms your payment and sends the USDC to Solid. When the order status shows Crypto Delivered, the funds are in your card balance and ready to spend.
Tracking your deposit
After you submit the payment, TransFi shows an Order Summary with the progress of your transaction:
Order Confirmed: your TransFi order has been created.
Payment Initiated: TransFi is waiting for or processing your payment.
Payment Confirmed: your payment has been received.
Crypto Transfer Initiated: the USDC is being sent to Solid.
Crypto Delivered: the USDC is in your card balance.
Keep the Order Summary open until the transaction completes, and save your TransFi order ID in case you need help later.
Fees, rates and limits
TransFi sets the exchange rate, fees and limits for Cash deposits, and they vary by currency and payment method. Everything is shown on the Buy crypto screen before you tap Continue to payment: the USDC you receive, the rate, TransFi's fee, the total payable and the min/max limits. Rates can move while you complete the order, so review the quote before continuing. Your bank or mobile money provider may add its own charges.
Payment rules to avoid a failed deposit
Use the exact account or mobile number shown on the payment page.
Send the exact amount displayed in your order.
Use the transaction type the payment provider specifies.
Do not close the payment page before saving your order details.
Do not tap I have made the payment until the payment is complete.
Do not pay twice unless the first order has clearly failed.
A wrong recipient, amount or payment type can delay the deposit or make it fail.
Troubleshooting
My order is stuck on Payment Initiated.
TransFi is still waiting to detect or confirm your payment. Check that you sent the exact amount, to the correct account or number, with the required payment type, and that you completed the payment before confirming it on the checkout page. If the status does not change after a reasonable time, contact support from the app with your TransFi order ID and proof of payment.
My order failed.
Common causes: the payment was not completed, the wrong amount or recipient was used, an unsupported payment type was used, the session expired, the provider declined the payment, the amount was outside the limits, or TransFi could not complete verification. Read the message on your Order Summary before trying again.
I paid but my card balance has not updated.
Check the Order Summary first. If it shows Payment Confirmed or Crypto Delivered and your balance is still unchanged, contact support with your Solid username, TransFi order ID, amount and currency paid, USDC expected, payment method, date and time, proof of payment and a screenshot of the Order Summary.
I entered the wrong payment details.
Do not pay again straight away. Check your order status first. Payments with incorrect account details usually fail immediately, but some providers can take up to 24 hours to confirm the failure.
Can I cancel?
Not once the payment is confirmed or the USDC transfer has started. If you have not paid yet, simply leave the checkout and start a new order later.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds may be possible for eligible transactions depending on the payment status and TransFi's policies. If you were charged for a failed order, contact support with your order ID and proof of payment.
I cannot see Cash deposit.
Cash deposit only appears for supported currencies and regions. Make sure you are on the latest version of Solid, check whether another currency is listed, or use one of the other funding methods under Add Funds. If you think it should be available in your region, contact support.
Still need help?
Open the chat in the app and include your TransFi order ID, the transaction status and proof of payment so we can investigate faster.
Cash deposits are provided by TransFi and are subject to TransFi's terms and verification requirements. Rates, fees, limits and settlement times vary by country and payment method, are displayed before you confirm a transaction, and may change.
