Switching to a new device
Passkeys in Solid are tied to a specific device. There is currently no way to migrate a passkey from one device to another.
If you want to use Solid on a new device, you have two options:
If your passkey is synced via iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager — it may already be available on your new device. Try logging in at app.solid.xyz and selecting your passkey when prompted.
If your passkey is not synced — you will need to create a new Solid account on the new device, then transfer your funds from the old account to the new one. Log into your old account on the original device, withdraw your USDC to an external wallet, and deposit from there into the new account.
Lost your passkey entirely
If you can no longer access your passkey on any device, use the Solid account recovery flow:
You will need access to the email address associated with your account. A verification code will be sent to confirm your identity.
If you have issues with the recovery flow, contact support via the in-app chat and we will guide you through the process. We may request additional verification to confirm account ownership.
Are my funds safe?
Yes. Your funds are held in a non-custodial Safe smart contract wallet. Losing your passkey does not put your funds at risk — no one can move them without passing authentication. They will remain in your wallet until you recover access.
If you have a Solid Card and suspect unauthorized access
Log in from any device where your passkey is still accessible and immediately freeze your card from the Card tab. This blocks all spending instantly while you sort out access.
